Pattern Making

Through generations of knowledge we can deliver traditionally made Patterns to an unrivalled standard. The methods and technology of Pattern making may have evolved over the years but from the birth of the company in 1947 the focus has always been to produce a quality product, every time.

Through generations of accumulated knowledge, skill, and craftsmanship, we are proud to deliver traditionally made patterns to an unrivalled standard. Our heritage is rooted in a deep understanding of the art and science of pattern making, passed down and refined over decades. While the methods and technologies used in pattern making have naturally evolved with time, embracing modern tools, precision engineering, and digital innovation, our core philosophy has remained unchanged since the company’s founding in 1947: to produce a consistently high-quality product, every single time.

At the heart of our success is a dedicated team of highly experienced pattern makers whose expertise spans a wide range of industries and applications. Their craftsmanship, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities allow us to confidently undertake projects of any scale or complexity. Whether producing small, finely detailed bench-made patterns or large, technically demanding components such as turbine casings for power generation, we approach every project with the same commitment to excellence and precision.

In addition to new work, we also specialise in heritage and restoration projects, where preserving historical accuracy is paramount. Our team has the expertise to carefully study and reproduce existing castings using traditional methods, ensuring that every detail is faithfully captured. In cases where original patterns no longer exist, we can work from limited resources such as old photographs or archival references. Supported by our advanced CAD capabilities, we are able to interpret, design, and recreate these pieces with remarkable accuracy, effectively bringing elements of the past back to life. This unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern technology allows us not only to meet today’s engineering demands but also to preserve and celebrate the craftsmanship of previous generations.
